’65 Graduation Cards

Class of 1965 Senior Graduation cardsWhen I told Curator Jessica that I had found two dozen Class of 1965 graduation cards in a box in the attic, she said, “I guess things chiseled on stone tablets last a long time.” Youngsters today have no respect for their elders.

I’ve done stories or posted pictures of quite a few of these folks. You might have to scroll around on the page to find some of them.

More of the Class of ’65

Class of 1965 Senior Graduation cardsI didn’t notice until I had scanned the cards that Steve Crowe showed up twice. Let it be know that he didn’t pay extra for the exposure.

Do you want your card back?

Class of 1965 Senior Graduation cardsI’m going to bring the cards to the reunion this summer in case anyone wants their card back. Unfortunately, several of our classmates have graduated to Up There, so they will go unclaimed.

  1. How neat to have kept these cards all these years!! Hopefully you will get some responses from these folks. I can’t remember if my brother was the class of 64 or 65. His name is David Cotner. I had cards like these also – I think every class had them, but sadly I lost my cards, graduation invitation, RSVP card, and tassel during the flood of 1986. I had water in my livingroom up past my waist. Lost the hair from my son’s first haircut, birth certificates (they have since been replaced)and lots of pictures, all the furniture, clothing, etc. What a mess. Thank God for the Red Cross and The Salvation Army.

  2. For reasons unknown, I still have all of that ‘stuff’ as well, even a half-full box of my ‘calling cards’. I think I’ll start handing them out.
